Gunnar Jeannette reports in after the Road Atlanta crash today. The Nissan DeltaWing was struck in the left rear by a GTC Porsche just as he came under the bridge.
The car was damaged by the rollover and impact with the wall but the team expect to be back on track tomorrow at Road Atlanta.
Despite the disappointing end to the day, the team were extremely pleased with the performance of the car - finishing the day 6th fastest overall.

Great news that Gunnar is OK and that you are confident of getting the car rebuilt for the race especially as you have got it running at such a competitive speed. Perhaps you should paint it bright pink and cover it with flashing lights.
I was flagging at turn 11 when this happened. It scared the "dickens" out of me. I can only imagine how Gunnar felt. Thank God he's OK.
I was fortunate to be able to photograph the deltawing as it came down the hill after the crash, and was super relieved to see him uo and around afterwards.
